Clear Channel names J.D. Freeman as market manager in San Francisco
Dave Pugh left that job just before Thanksgiving, and today Clear Channel EVP/Operations for the Western Region Susan Karis announces J.D. Freeman as his successor. Karis cites "Freeman's extensive track record of success in a number of Clear Channel clusters", such as Dallas, Central California, and Phoenix. Freeman was also once Senior Vice President of Clear Channel's Southwest region, in a previous table of organization. The Clear Channel San Francisco cluster he'll be taking over is AC KIOI (101.3), urban KMEL (106.1), rhythmic "Wild 94.9" KYLD, "The Bay's Old School Kiss" KISQ (98.1), classic rock "Band" KKSF (103.7), conservative talk KNEW (910) and progressive talk "Green 960" KKGN.
