Clear Channel plans expansion of iHeartRadio, based on domain names
Among the names recently registered by Clear Channel: iHeartWeather.com and iHeartTraffic.com. TheDomains.com picks up on the action, and notes that in February, Clear Channel also added iHeart.com - although so far, it has not reserved iHeartSports.com. The weather and traffic URLs may indicate that Clear Channel will someday use its content-generation assets to put more spoken-word content out there. Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network now includes the former Westwood One Metro traffic operation.
