Clear Channel's iHeartRadio includes Greater Media's 22 stations
Greater Media stations in Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Charlotte and New Jersey will soon be available on iHeartRadio, giving listeners access through mobile apps, automobiles and the web. Clear Channel already has carriage deals with Cumulus, Univision, WNYC Public Radio and Christian broadcaster EMF. The first few outside partners it accepted were mostly non-competitive with its own stations, such as Spanish radio operator Univision. More recently, Clear Channel has been making deals with more direct competitors, such as Cumulus, with its more than 500 stations, and now Greater Media. Greater Media stations such as rock WRIF, Detroit (101.1) and AC WMJX, Boston (106.7) will be available on iHeartRadio starting in April.
