Cledus T. Judd Returns To WQYK Tampa Morning Show
CBS Radio has signed comedian and recording artist Cledus T. Judd to a multi-year agreement that has him returning to country WQYK-FM Tampa, Fla., as morning co-host. Starting Sept. 3, Judd will be joining current morning show host Dave McKay every weekday from 5-10 a.m. He is returning to the station after a two-year absence.
Judd has sold more than two million albums, according to a WQYK release. He is best known for his parody songs including “I Love NASCAR” a spoof of Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar,” “Paycheck Woman,” a response to Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman,” and “It’s a Great Day to Be a Guy” for Travis Tritt’s “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.” Judd is also a popular stand-up comedian. He will be moving to Tampa and will continue his comedy and recording career with occasional concerts and new CD projects.
The new morning show can be heard on-air at 99.5, streaming online at www.wqyk.com and via a variety of mobile devices including the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Blackberry, and Zune.
