CNN Radio makes "structural changes", eliminates 11 jobs
The re-organization that was effective on Wednesday will also create some new jobs, says executive Tyler Moody in an memo to stuff. He says “a re-structure will provide a dynamic mix of editorial content for the consumer and will allow the organization to take advantage of new opportunities.” Moody’s memo does not mention the immediate number of positions cut, but Radio-Info confirms the figure at 11, from several sources. CNN Radio’s deal with Westwood One was recently modified, calling for less content from CNN Radio in Atlanta. The Atlanta Board of Radio-Info.com has a posting identifying some names of those let go: producers Maria Boynton and Sherri Maksin. Editors/anchors Liz Kennedy, Andy Flick, Andrew Spencer and John Lorinc. Jackie Howard in production. And anchor/editors Brendan Gage and Lee Garen.
