Conservative radio talk hosts dominate the 2010 Newsweek "Power 50"
When it comes to the highest paid political pundits and those who wield power and political influence, conservative talk show hosts are strikingly ahead of popular politicians on the annual Newsweek chart. Five of the top-10 on the list are heard daily on the radio, starting with Rush Limbaugh (estimated earnings $58.7 million), Glenn Beck ($33 million) and Sean Hannity ($22 million) the top three. Talk host Don Imus was #7 ($11 million) and Laura Ingraham, who was tied at #10 ($7 million). Also making the list from radio: Mark Levin at #13, Joe Scarborough #22 and Eduardo "Piolin" Sotelo tied at #41. Other recognizable names on the list include former Alaska Gov. and Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin at #6, who earned an estimated $14 million, former President Bill Clinton at #8, former President George W. Bush at #18, President Barack Obama at #19, former VP Al Gore tied at #30, and former VP Dick Cheney tied at #41. You can see the complete Newsweek rankings here.
