Robert Feder shares in his TimeOut column that she became a full-time talk host after producing TV and radio shows for her father. “Cost-saving measures” at the station are to blame, although Midway chairman and WVON GM Melody Spann Cooper believes Jackson has a national platform in her future. Clear Channel owns expanded-band WVON, licensed to Berwyn, Ill., but leases it to Midway.
