Country WQDR Raleigh Honors 'Idol' Finalist By Becoming 'Scotty 94-7'

WQDR Raleigh temporary logo In honor of hometown hero and "American Idol" finalist Scotty McCreery, country WQDR-FM Raleigh has temporarily re-christened itself "Scotty 94-7." They’ve created a new logo (pictured) and have t-shirts in the works, all, says PD/station manager Lisa McKay, to “support this talented, beloved teen 100%. See our Web siteand Facebook page for examples of the QDR love for Scotty,” she adds. “It is pretty remarkable.” The semi-final "Idol" show airs tonight, and one of the three remaining finalists will be voted off. Seventeen-year-old Garner, N.C., native McCreery is heavily favored to make it into next week's finale.
