CRB Makes It Official, Naming Bill Mayne Executive Director
Mayne has been named executive director of Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. (CRB), succeeding Ed Salamon, who exited last fall. Mayne has been serving as the trade group’s interim executive director. His new post is effective April 1. Mayne, who has an extensive background in both the radio and record industries as well as artist management, most recently ran his own firm, Mayne Street Consulting. His resume includes radio programming and operations management positions at KZLA and KLAC Los Angeles, KSCS and WBAP Dallas, and KASE Austin, Texas. On the label side, he has served as senior VP/GM and VP of promotion at Warner Bros Nashville and VP of promotion and artist development at 903 Music. Mayne also serves as the current president of the Academy of Country Music board of directors.
