Cumulus ends its play-by-play deal with the NFL Buffalo Bills
The games will longer be heard on classic rock "97 Rock" WGRF (96.9) or "103.3 The Edge" WEDG, according to WGRZ-TV. Cumulus inherited the Bills when it acquired Citadel last year, and now local manager Chet Osadchey says "After a lengthy negotiation process, we withdrew from the bidding process with the team." That ends a 13-year relationship between the Bills and "97 Rock." (The Edge was a more recent addition.) Osadchey promises that "listeners will still get Bills (and Buffalo Sabres) coverage and content on a regular basis" on both 97 Rock and 103.3 The Edge. The Buffalo-Niagara Falls-Rochester Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the decision by Cumulus, here.
