Cumulus flips Harrisburg translator signal from R&B "Touch" to sports

change The "Touch" has been heard in Harrisburg, PA since 1993, most recently on FM translator W237DE. Beginning in 2009, it was fed by the HD2 signal of a full-power Cumulus station, but that's changing as of today (9/1). The 95.3 signal will now be a simulcast of all-sports "ESPN 1400", based at WHGB. Here's how the Touch explained the move on its website: "Unfortunately, the state of the economy and lack of sponsor and advertiser support means The Touch has to say goodbye and is going out of business." That signal was the market's connection to the syndicated Doug Banks and Tom Joyner shows, on a station known as WTCY.
