Cumulus-San Francisco names Bill Bungeroth as Market Manager
Bill Bungeroth is the person who conceived and launched "The Huckabee Report" with former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, which now airs on 560 radio stations, and he led the executive team that launched the 24/7 Comedy Network nationwide. Bungeroth now takes on the day-to-day operations of Cumulus Radio's four-station cluster in San Francisco, but is no stranger to Cumulus. He co-founded the radio group, and was named Cumulus' initial President and CEO. Upon the introduction of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, Bungeroth championed Cumulus' continued growth and led the team in taking the company public. Cumulus EVP & Co-Chief Operating Officer Jon Pinch says, "We are delighted to have Bill back with Cumulus. He's a true broadcast pro, well suited to lead this extremely important Cumulus cluster." Bungeroth will oversee sports KNBR-AM (680) & KTCT-AM (1050), classic rock KFOG-FM (104.5) "K-Fog" & KSAN-FM (107.7) "The Bone."
