Cumulus will do away with Radio Disney on the Hudson Valley's WEOK & WALL
Radio-Info has learned WEOK-AM (1390) in Poughkeepsie & WALL-AM (1340) in Middletown will drop Radio Disney programming as soon as Monday morning. Both stations, in the lower Catskills just north of New York City, have been Radio Disney affiliates since March 2005, when they were both flipped from Spanish music to the teen-targeted Radio Disney format. It is not known what the new format for either station will be. Radio-Info last week reported that former Westwood One COO Chuck Bortnick was named as Northeast Regional VP for Cumulus, covering the Bridgeport, Danbury, Westchester and the Poughkeepsie market, which includes WALL and WEOK.
