D. L. Hughley is MIA at New York's "Kiss 98.7" WRKS
On Monday the comedian announced, with no warning, that it was his last day – “without additional explanation”, says Urban First Editor Dana Hall here at Radio-Info. The station explains that he’s taking off to do a movie, but the morning crew’s page is gone from the website. Late last year, there was controversy about the business arrangements surrounding Hughley’s appearance on the urban AC, and about who was paying him: station owner Emmis, or his potential syndicator, URBan Radio. Hughley isn’t syndicated yet, but he has earned good reviews for his work at Kiss.
