Darik Kristofer heads to Washington, DC for "Fresh" afternoons
Radio-Info has confirmed that former "Star 94" WSTR-FM (94.1) evening host Darik Kristofer, who left the AC station in March, is packing his bags and heading to the Nation's Capital. Kristofer will be the new afternoon drive host for CBS Radio's WIAD-FM "Fresh" (94.7), starting June 6. In taking afternoons, Kristofer will displace current afternoon driver Tommy McFly, who DCRTV is reporting will also be on the move, leaving Washington and heading south to CBS Radio sister-station WNKS-FM (95.1) in Charlotte, which has a vacancy for a morning drive host after the station and the syndicated team of Ace & T.J. could not agree on a new contract. At the time, WNKS was the flagship broadcast home for Ace & T.J.
