Day 2 PPMs: Only Santa Claus can beat Washington DC's all-news WTOP
Twelve more markets released today for Arbitron's "Holiday book," covering December 8 through January 4. Usual Washington D.C., winner WTOP has slipped 8.4-7.0-6.7 since the November book, with age 6+ AQH shares. The Hubbard Radio property, America's top-billing radio station last year, is second in the Holiday book, looking up at all-Christmas-propelled Clear Channel AC WASH, 5.7-8.4-11.7. Boston: WODS is one of the rare classic hits stations that traditionally goes all-Christmas, and it pays off with a #1 ranking. CBS Radio's WODS soars 4.3-6.6-9.7. Usual winner Kiss 108, Clear Channel's WXKS-FM, moves 9.8-9.1-8.4.
Detroit: WNIC triples its share of just two books ago. The Clear Channel AC improves 3.1 to 6.4 to 9.2. Christmas also did pretty well for Greater Media's AC WMGC, too: 3.6-5.7-6.5
Seattle: Sandusky's soft AC "Warm" KRWM jumps 5.1-5.3-12.0, into first place.
Phoenix: KESZ, one of the very first major-market ACs to start going all-Christmas back in the mid-1990s, enjoys a 14.3-share for this Holiday book. The Clear Channel soft AC improves 3.9-8.8-14.3.
