Day 2 Spring 2011 diary books: Monmouth-Ocean, Buffalo, Richmond...
In market #51, Monmouth-Ocean, NJ, Millennium's hybrid talk/classic hits "New Jersey 101.5" receives its best book in over a year. A year ago, WKXW had a Spring-book 7.9, then a Fall-book 8.3, a Winter 8.0, and now an 8.6 share of the age 12+ AQH listening. Second place goes to Press Communications' AC "Breeze" WWZY, 4.5-4.4 since the Winter, and just ahead of NYC talker WABC, 4.9-4.3.
Buffalo: Country stays #1 by a 3-1/2 share margin. Townsquare Media's country WYRK has moved 11.1-11.3-10.3-12.1-11.3 since a year ago. Entercom's talk WBEN is second, off 9.9 to 7.8.
Richmond: Radio One's urban AC "Kiss" WKJS stages a mighty 8.9-11.2 jump, emphatically holding onto first place.
Birmingham: The market's two big country FMs are #2 and #3 this time, as urban WBHJ drops again (10.4-7.5-8.3-7.8-6.5). Cox Urban AC WBHK has no trouble staying #1, up 11.2 to 12.9. The country stations are Cox-owned WZZK (8.0-7.7) and Clear Channel's WDXB (6.2-7.0).
The Spring 12+ numbers for Rochester, Lafayette (LA), Laurel-Hattiesburg and Alexandria are now on the Ratings Page of Radio-Info.com, here. Arbitron released Greenville-Spartanburg SC and Biloxi as "subscriber-only markets", and you can find the numbers of the subscribing stations online, too.
