Daytona, Florida radio station owner arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenager
Doug Wilhite is no stranger to controversy. Radio-Info had previously reported the owner of WELE-AM (1380) in Daytona, Florida was investigated by authorities because of complaints about travel packages sold on the station’s Premier Travel Show. Wilhite’s latest troubles could land him behind bars. WESH-TV is reporting the 56-year old Wilhite was busted by authorities for allegedly violating a boy under the age of 18. WESH-TV also says authorities paint Wilhite as a “nudist who hosted parties at his Ormond Beach home with teenage boys.” Wilhite was also charged with getting the teenagers alcohol and video equipment to tape sex acts. Wilhite told authorities it was the victim who approached him, but Wilhite refused to touch him. Wilhite is being held on $100,000 bond in the Volusia County, Florida jail. There’s more here on the Radio-Info Florida board – Discuss it. WKMG-TV in Orlando has more details here.
