D.C.'s Tony Kornheiser apologizes for his "run bikers off the road" jibe

And the world’s most famous bicyclist, Lance Armstrong, came on Kornheiser’s WTEM (980) radio show to accept his apologies. USA Today says the conversation lasted over 15 minutes, with Armstrong calling in from France and agreeing that Kornheiser was “sincere” in his remorse. Last week’s Kornheiser rant was about the proliferation of bicyclists on the road and also their outfits, which he ridiculed. Now, he says he’s “old” and admits he hasn’t been on a bike in “forever and forever.” As USA Today’s Tom Weir observes, much of the chat centered on “the power of social media”, with Kornheiser feeling the sting of Armstrong’s Twitter comments. The Tour de France champion had called Tony’s remarks “disgusting, ignorant, foolish” and called him out as a complete f-ing idiot.“ Now they've made up – on the radio.
