Dial Global competes upgrade of 24/7 "Live & Local" formats with new lineup
A total of 38 new fulltime and parttime air talents are hired, and Dial Global says "the final piece in in place", after its earlier work on enhancing technology, imaging and its in-house programming team. President of Programming Kirk Stirland says "What makes this special is the powerful combination of great air talent and Dial Global's patented Storq technology." That's the store-and-forward system that allows for station-level customization of nine different formats. EVP Programming Beau Phillips says "I've spent months recruiting, evaluating and hand-picking some of the best radio personalities in America." Some of the new hires work at WPLJ, New York, "K-Earth" KRTH, Los Angeles, and Dallas stations KVIL and KSCS. The "Local" formats produced by Dial Global include "AC Active", "AC Pure", "Rock 2.0", "Oldies-plus", "Country Today" and "Country Classics." More at the DG page here.
