Dial Global format affiliates had a one-hour service outage Wednesday afternoon
Kirk Stirland, Dial Global President of Programming, tells the Taylor on Radio-Info (T-R-I) newsletter that the problem as a third-party provider of uplink services in Denver, who works with radio and cable customers. Not only did its main power go down around 3pm Pacific time on Wednesday (December 16) – its backup power inexplicably failed. Stirland says “It’s on our watch, it’s our responsibility” and says “we’re working on some solutions to get in front of this. We know stations are dependent on us.”
