Did Randy Michaels delete material from his Tribune company laptop?

Michaels left as CEO last month, and now the Chicago-based media company tells a federal bankruptcy judge it will investigate the apparent erasure of company-related emails and data. Reuters says that after Michaels handed it back in, Tribune wasn't able to recover any material from the computer, though an expert examination of his company cell phone recovered 15 emails. However, the main story for Tribune is the almost-unprecedented four competing bankruptcy re-organization plans to be weighed by the court in Wilmington, Delaware. The judge is close to selecting the final language to be sent to creditors, with voting to start in about two weeks. Tribune has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since December 2008.
