Don Imus is having a hard time selling his Connecticut mansion
Don Imus originally put his 6-bedroom, 6 1/2 bath, 10,000 square-foot home in Westport on the market for $30 million, but so far no takers. Imus has now dropped the price to $24,950,000, shaving just over $5 million off the price tag. The Imus home comes with 14 rooms, a 2-bedroom guest house, 215-feet of prime beach on the Long Island Sound, and four acres of land. Among the amenities for the qualified buyer - all appliances including an indoor grill, fireplaces in six rooms, a garage that can accommodate nine cars, and a sunroom. As for cost, the taxes alone are $135,889 annually ($11,324 per month), and even with a 20% down payment and a 30-year mortgage at 5%, your mortgage will be $118,473 monthly. See details, pictures, and a video tour of the Imus mansion from the Coldwell Banker real estate website here. The New York Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the Imus domicile here.
