Dr. Laura: "Doors are opening"
When Dr. Laura Schlessinger ends her run on terrestrial radio in December, she tells The Hollywood Reporter she’s going to have many options – “It’s clear I can take my voice to several places.” That would be in addition to her own YouTube Channel, website and other outlets. One possibility: Sirius XM. She says “I own thousands of hours of my shows, so I'm looking to do something with that: Internet streaming, podcasting, searchable database, satellite radio.” She says her blog traffic is up over 600%. As for her decision to leave terrestrial radio when her contract is up, she says “I wanted to be able to express myself in a situation where I didn’t have sponsors and affiliates and employees threatened.” Read the Hollywood Reporter interview here.
