"Dr Laura Marathon" kicks off the KFWB, Los Angeles flip next week
Next Tuesday, September 8 is the official 18-hour “Dr Laura Marathon” that will kick off the new talk-leaning news/talk format on KFWB (980). Dr. Laura will normally air in the noon – 3pm slot weekdays. But from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning at 6am, it will be wall-to-wall Dr. Laura. She’s been heard in the market for 20 years on rival talk KFI (640). There’s also been more talk as to who else will air on the new KFWB, and The Orange Country Register speculates that former San Diego Mayor and sometime Rush Limbaugh fill-in Roger Hedgecock could take the afternoon drive slot. He’s syndicated from San Diego’s KOGO (600) and also heard on XM Satellite radio.
