WBLS New York and TV host Egypt Sherod is about to embark on her 2nd annual “Egypt Gives Back Tour,” from Monday November 28 – December 3. Last year, Egypt created the non-profit “Egypt Cares Family Foundation,” which the tour will help to support. WBLS takes part in the event by broadcasting during the midday shift from a different drop-off location each day during the week-long event. Stops include Brooklyn, the Bronx, Harlem, Queens, Newark NJ and Plainfield NJ. Listeners will be able to donate gently worn or unused coats, new toys for children, and cash donations. Last year’s proceeds and items were given to New York Cares, Jersey Cares, Hudson Cradle, and The Children’s Aid Society.
