Emmis receives an 8-year license extension in Slovakia
Indianapolis-based Emmis Communications was granted an eight-year extension to operate Radio Expres, based in Bratislava. The station, which plays a mix of pop music with news and information, started broadcasting on December 31, 1999, and Emmis acquired the right to operate Radio Expres in 2005. Emmis President & CEO Jeff Smulyan says, "We are proud of our team at Radio Expres. They have set the very highest standards in Slovakian broadcasting, and today's decision recognizes their accomplishments." Its web page (www.expres.sk) is the most visited of all Slovakian radio stations, and the station is one of the most-listened-to in the nation. You can listen to Radio Expres here.Previous and Next Stories
