Emmis rocker WRXP (101.9) New York takes its overnight shift live
It will give two in-house marketing staffers a shot at hosting. Chris Nadler and Brian D’Aurelio will host “From the Basement with Brian and Chris” from midnight – 6 am, starting July 6. Nadler is the Lifestyle Engagement Director while D’Aurelio is the Director of Marketing and Digital Media for Emmis New York. “Different times require different solutions” said Emmis New York VP and Market Manager Alex Cameron. “The idea is to give our overnights a little flavor and personality without creating a regular shift. So, to marry two rock passionate employees who fit the target profile and happen to have great rapport and natural wit seems appropriate. It’s a bit of an experiment frankly and these are two charismatic staffers that stood out to me as having the talent and enough music and PPM knowledge to pull this off.”
