Federal government and NFL confront web piracy

Pirate radio Just days before the country watched the Super Bowl, U.S. Immigration and Customs and the NFL teamed up and seized over 300 websites that were prepared to stream the championship game live. Moreover, U.S. Customs went on to explain that these “sites” were prepared to peddle counterfeit NFL merchandise and stream the football game which ultimately increases the cost of tickets and subscriptions packages from legal networks. Criminal copyright infringement was the main charge against the majority of those arrested. Last year, only 10 sites were shut down with only one arrest.
