Fired WLW, Cincinnati talkhost Eric Deters returns on "Real Talk 1160"
Former WLW (700) parttimer Deters, also an attorney in Northern Kentucky, says he will be a full-time personality at WQRT (1160) – and that his first guest will be Cincinnati NAACP President Chris Smitherman. Deters was dropped by WLW after his video (not radio) ad-lib that "if you want to conquer an African nation, send white women and pot." Deters quickly apologized but lost his job at WLW that included being a backup to weekday talker Bill Cunningham. Now Deters will handle 6-8pm for WQRT starting Monday (6/13), and tells the Cincinnati Enquirer's John Kiesewetter that there's a promise he can move up to 9am to noon. Plenty of conversation about Eric Deters on the Cincinnati Board of Radio-Info.com.
