First March PPMs: It's still "Lite" in NYC...Closer call for "Kiss" in L.A.
- New York, Arbitron market #1: Clear Channel's AC "Lite" WLTW pulls away, running 6.8-7.1-7.6 since the January PPMs. Second place with age 6+ AQH shares belongs to CBS Radio's classic hits WCBS-FM, 5.2-5.6-5.4. Nice month for Spanish FMs "Mega" (SBS-owned WSKQ), up 3.3-3.5-4.1 and now in fifth place, and Univision's Spanish tropical WXNY, 2.9-3.0-3.2.
- Los Angeles, market #2: Clear Channel CHR "Kiss FM" KIIS-FM slips 5.7-5.6-5.1 and is just 0.5 ahead of #2 sister station AC KOST, 5.0-4.9-4.6. CBS all-newser KNX is tied with sister modern rock KROQ for sixth place - the highest ratings for KNX, says PD Andy Ludlum, since the O.J. Simpson trial in 1995.
