For today's 49ers game, Cumulus is using all 7 of its Bay Area signals
Cumulus director of operations Lee Hammer says "This is the biggest 49ers game in ten years", so "all the Cumulus program directors got together and decided to air the game on all our Bay Area stations." The usual flagship stations are AM-dial sports KNBR (680 and the co-branded KTCT at 1050) and FM-dial classic rock "The Bone" KSAN (107.7). The local kickoff time for the Niners-New York Giants NFC Championship game was 3:30pm Pacific, and all the stations were in pre-game coverage by one hour before that. (KNBR/KTCT began at 9am.) The additional signals are news/talk KGO (810), talk KSFO (560) and adult alternative "K-Fog" (KFOG at 104.5 and KFFG at 97.7). The San Francisco Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the move, here.
