Format Flips & Simulcasts:

In Boston, the simulcast of Spanish-language Tropical “Rumba” on Clear Channel’s WXKS (1430) and WKOX (1200) is temporarily put on hold. For now, WXKS is airing rock “Automatic Radio” until March 2, qhen the Simucast with Rumba returns … Stockton’s KWSX (1280) is out of its 5-½ month simulcast with Clear Channel sister “Rock 96.7” KMRQ, and doing a talk-based format. The early programming on Monday was Armstrong & Getty, Glenn Beck, and Tom Sullivan … In Lafayette, Louisiana – the Louisiana board reports a format flip at Lizotte-owned KKOO from oldies “Kool 106.7” to “Country Legends.” The Class A FM is licensed to Rayne, Louisiana and evolved from classic hits to oldies only last November. Before that, it was soft AC and (back to 2003) oldies.
