Former Arizona Senator Russell Pearce joins KFNX-AM Phoenix
Ousted Republican Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce—known for sponsoring the state’s polarizing anti-illegal alien measure—has joined Battagila Broadcasting Co.’s news/talk KFNX-AM (1100) Phoenix as a talk host. According to the station’s website, he will air Tuesdays 7-8 p.m. Pearce’s program is sponsored by BanAmnestyNow.com, whose mission, according to its site, “is to unite Americans behind stopping federal, state or local governments from enacting policies granting Amnesty to illegal (U.S.) aliens.” Pearce is also the organization’s president. The politico is the first lawmaker in Arizona history to be ousted from office in November 2011, after Citizens for a Better Arizona petitioned the state for a recall election. KFNX’s line-up features a number of paid health and financial programs, in addition to syndicated talkers Don Imus, Laura Ingraham, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Neal Boortz, Lars Larson and Lou Dobbs.
