Former Cub Keith Moreland to succeed Ron Santo on radio team
WGN, Chicago announces that 12-year Major League Baseball player Keith Moreland will be sitting alongside Pat Hughes beginning with the first Spring training game from Mesa, Arizona on February 27. For many years, that seat belonged to beloved Cubs player and announcer Ron Santo, who died last year. Moreland spent six years with the Cubs, then went back to the University of Texas and finished up his bachelor’s degree. He pursued his broadcasting ambitions in 16 years with the Longhorns as baseball color analyst and nine
years working on football broadcasts. The Chicago Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the choice of Moreland - and baseball - here.Previous and Next Stories
