Former KUPL Portland Morning Man Recovering From Second Stroke
Recently retired KUPL Portland, Ore., morning man Lee Rogers has suffered a second stroke, according to OregonMediaCentral. The site reports that Rogers is hospitalized and that his “movement is extremely restricted, and he is battling bouts of confusion,” following Monday’s stroke. But on Wednesday afternoon, KUPL’s own Web site reported signs of improvement, noting that Rogers was “able to sit up today, and actually was able to shave his own face.” On Jan. 22 Rogers suffered his first stroke in California while driving from Portland to his new home in Arizona, where he and his wife, Peggy, plan to retire. Rogers, a 15-year veteran of the station’s morning show, signed off the air in December.
