Former Montana office manager faces 20 years for fraud

justicescalesThe office manager at KOFI-AM (1180) in Kalispell, Montana allegedly had a profitable enterprise going for himself, but sooner or later ordering that much paper & toner will catch someone's eye. Kent Etchison was charged with mail fraud, and is alleged to have ordered over $925,000 worth of office supplies in a 39 month period - an average of $23,700 per month - in an effort to gain incentives from the office supply companies doing business with the station. According to Montana's Daily Inter Lake, Etchison placed the orders with vendors who offered purchase incentives, landing him a laptop computer, TV, and gift cards, among other items. In some cases, Etchison would order products the station didn't need, and then return them without a refund, while adjusting the station's financial records to conceal his activity.
