Former NPR "Day to Day" host Madeleine Brand lands her own show in L.A.
The Day to Day newsmagazine show was canceled last year as NPR shut down both of its NPR West-produced daily shows, which left Los Angeles native Madeleine Brand a free agent. Now the Orange County Register reports she’ll front a new 9-10am weekday program for news/talk KPCC (89.3). Brand will interact with a cast of contributors covering favorite Los Angeles topics out in the field – TV, movies, music, and books. The Madeleine Brand Show debuts around Labor Day, following Morning Edition.
