Garrison Keillor plans to return to his normal schedule next week, following a minor stroke

The host of the long-running public radio show “A Prairie Home Companion” was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota last Sunday, after suffering a minor stroke. He’s expected to be released on Friday. A spokesman at the Mayo says the 67-year old is “up and moving around, speaking sensibly, working at a laptop,” and says “He plans to resume a normal schedule next week.” Keillor started “A Prairie Home Companion” in 1974 at a college theater, and has grown to be carried by over 590 public radio stations, syndicated by American Public Media.
