Gay groups are irate that Sacramento's KRXQ called transgender kids "idiots" & "freaks"
The gay & lesbian community is railing against comments made by KRXQ (98.5) morning hosts Rob Williams and Arnie States. Discussing transgender children on their May 28 show, the duo said such kids were just out “for attention,” and had “a mental disorder that just needs to somehow be gotten out of them,” as reported by the Huffington Post. States said during the show he would “beat his son” if he caught him wearing high heel shoes, and “I look forward to when [the transgender children] go out into society and society beats them down. And they wind up in therapy.” The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation called the remarks “cruel, dehumanizing and defamatory,” and said remarks like this could incite violence. They’re demanding an apology. At Radio-Info,they’re discussing the situation now on the Sacramento Board.
