Geraldo Rivera may take his new daily radio talkshow to L.A., after all
Don Imus announced on December 13 that Geraldo would be doing a daily show heard on both WABC, New York (770) and L.A.'s KABC (790). But Cumulus Media never confirmed the supposed 10am-noon slot in Los Angeles, and then KABC program director Jack Silver released a revised air talent lineup featuring John Phillips in the 9am to noon slot. Now the Orange County Register's Gary Lycan reports this light-hearted email from Phillips: "I'll be on from 9 a.m.-noon Jan. 3-27th, 9 to 10 a.m. from Jan. 30th on, and pinch-hitting for other KABC hosts whenever they get a raging case of the gout." Lycan says "I will go out on a limb and suggest that Geraldo will debut January 30" in Los Angeles. Back in New York, WABC says Geraldo will be "live and local on 77 WABC" starting January 3.Previous and Next Stories
