Glenn Beck will end his Fox News TV show
The rumors of Glenn Beck ending his one-hour afternoon talk show on Fox News are now a reality, with Fox and Beck making a joint announcement. They did not announce an exact ending date. The Glenn Beck Show is #1 in its cable time slot, however over the past 12 months it has been losing viewers while competing shows on CNN (Wolf Blitzer) & MSNBC (Chris Matthews) have been gaining some viewers. Rumors of Fox tiring of Beck began to circulate, and recently Beck hired Fox executive Joel Cheatwood for a senior leadership role in Beck's Mercury Radio Arts. Beck's contract with Fox News runs through December, and while he is leaving Fox's 5pm ET time slot, he will continue his association with Fox News. A press release says he will "develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News' digital properties."
