Greater Media names Bill White as the new OM for Charlotte's WBT & "The Link"
It’s a promotion for the Director of Programming and News at WBT-AM/FM (1110 / 99.3), where’s been at the helm for the last nine years. Bill White now becomes Operations Manager for the news/talk market leader, and also will oversee WLNK-FM (107.9) “The Link.” With Smith’s promotion comes a promotion for longtime WBT Asst. PD Carl East, who now becomes the PD for WBT. Neal Sharpe will remain as PD of WLNK-FM. White’s resume includes stops as PD of Pittsburgh’s KDKA-AM (1020), along with management roles in Kansas City, Columbus, and Bridgeport & Hartford.
