Green Bay has a new FM: talk WTAQ-FM (97.5).
The Midwest Communications station signed on Friday afternoon at 4pm, taking the branding of its highly-rated AM sister WTAQ (1360). WTAQ-FM, Glenmore, Wisconsin is the construction permit that Duke Wright’s Midwest Communications bought from Randy Michaels last year, paying $1,725,000. Michaels' Radioactive LLC acquired the permit in the FCC’s Auction #37 and moved it in from Two Rivers to Glenmore, changing frequency from 97.1 to 97.5. The Wisconsin Board of Radio-Info.com talks about the new arrival to Green Bay here.
