The highly-rated Australian radio team of Hamish and Andy are giving up their weekday afternoon show to concentrate on other projects. Their show, which originates on Austereo’s Fox-FM in Melbourne and is carried on other Austereo stations in Australia, regularly attracts 20% shares of their market audiences. The pair will not completely leave radio, as Austereo announces that Hamish & Andy will do a free weekly podcast that will also air on Austereo syndicated stations. They’ll continue their radio show through November 27, but the big question now is who will be replacing the highly-rated duo. You can listen to their announcement here.
