Hank Williams Jr. and ESPN break up over his Obama "enemy" comments

Hank Williams, Jr. The Tennessean says both sides claim they're the one who made the decision. Hank Williams Jr. sent this statement around: “After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.” While ESPN says "We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue."‬‬ For the first time in 22 years, ESPN did not run Hank Jr's "Rowdy Friends" opener for Monday Night Football, for the October 3 Colts-Tampa Bay game. Earlier that day, Williams appeared on the "Fox & Friends" morning show to express disapproval of President Obama playing golf with House Speaker John Boehner, saying it would be "like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli prime minister] Netanyahu." He went on to say that Obama and Biden are "the enemy." By gametime that night, ESPN had decided not to use the "Rowdy Friends" opening, and today there's a permanent break.
