Hank Williams Jr. tweaks ESPN and Fox

Hank Williams, Jr. The "Fox & Friends" morning show is where Hank got into trouble last week, with the comments about the president and the VP being "the enemy," and a mention of Hitler. Later that same day, ESPN decided not to run Hank's usual "rowdy friends" opener for Monday Night Football, and by later in the week, ESPN permanently cut its ties with the performer. Now,Williams has written and recorded a new political anthem titled "Keep The Change," and he's offering it as a free download for 48 hours on his Web site. It has jibes at both "Fox & Friends" ("Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around") and ESPN ("You can keep 'Fox & Friends' and ESPN out of your homes.") Williams is booked to appear on this morning's "The View" and tonight's Sean Hannity TV show on Fox. The song was serviced to country radio this morning via Play MPE and will reportedly be available on iTunes next week. It's on Williams' own Bocephus Records, his first indie release since splitting with longtime label home Curb Records. And it's worth noting that Williams' "Keep The Change" is not the same song as the political anthem with the same title that was written and recorded by fellow country artist Darryl Worley, who released it as a single last year but failed to gain any traction with it at country radio.
