Happy 97th Birthday Hal Jackson!
Urban Radio’s legendary Hal Jackson turns 97 on Nov. 3 (Thursday) and New York is celebrating in a big way. Jackson, who’s heard on Inner City’s WBLS, has had an extraordinary 72-year radio career. Tonight, Nov. 2, his wife Debbie is celebrating Hal’s life with “An Evening With Hal Jackson and Friends.” Those friends include some of the artists he helped launch the careers of – Stevie Wonder, Gerald Alston, Melba Moore, Alyson Williams, and Meli’Sa Morgan.
