“Highly doubtful” CBS would sell radio or TV stations
From today's TRI Newsletter: On Thursday's Q3 conference call, CEO Les Moonves says “we like the way they’re performing.” Though as a CEO, he has to say this – “If somebody came along and made us a phenomenal offer for some radio stations, we would always look at it. But we’re pretty pleased with what we have right now.” The radio/TV station sale question was posed by Wells Fargo analyst Marci Ryvicker. Too bad none of the analysts asked about acquisition plans for radio – like whether CBS is hopeful about landing one or both of the Family Radio stations on the block, in Philadelphia and D.C.-Baltimore.
