Hispanic groups happy over Lou Dobbs leaving CNN
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists says “Fairness, accuracy and balance, on the whole, have been largely absent from CNN commentator Lou Dobbs' coverage on immigration.” Read the complete statement. The National Hispanic Media Coalition is not only happy Dobbs has left CNN, they also want him off his radio show, distributed by United Stations Radio Network. The NHMC says “As Dobbs leaves CNN the Latino community will turn its ear toward the radio network that allows and encourages him to continue his shrill hate speech and factual misrepresentations.” A statement by the League of United Latin American Citizens reads, “the executives at CNN have finally realized that they could no longer justify his nightly smear campaign against the hardest working people in America.” Dobbs asked for a release from his CNN contract, which had more than a year left on it, to pursue other unspecified interests.
